I almost bought one a few times. I love the way they play but they sound like shit without an amp. Very weak and thin. That surf green one is awesome.

Shouldn't you expect that from an almost solid body guitar styled like an acoustic guitar?
If done properly I'd hope it sounds good plugged in.

Yes but it's not a good acoustic. It's an acoustic electric guitar. It's only good for around a small campfire
