That is quite nice, but it's still just some project guitar.

There's some black shit around the pickups, I'd ask about that.

Bitsa guitars like this are worth less than the sum of their parts, so £200 sounds about right, even if those gold foil pickups are highly regarded by some. I got my (well-used but otherwise fine) AVRI Jazzmaster for £650. If you sold your tele you might be able to get one of them instead.

yeah you got me thinking about that last night.

I think I might go for an AVRI instead. I just have to find one...

Don't make that trade. Whatever you do, don't make that trade. Like I say, your guitar is worth at least three times as much as that one.

I see the light!

I was initially after a good playing guitar (with 22 frets) but if I have to move it on for whatever reason I am shafted really.

So the hunt continues for an AVRI or a thinskin.

Aye, I'm getting more and more concerned the more of his I see. More power to his right hand and all, but: "finger-painting chimp" is the first thought that comes to mind.

Fuck me that's expensive. I sold a 70s Marauder copy - with the right pickups mind - for about £150

If he had left it at putting a copper top/finish on it might look alright, but that looks shit.

why not just sell the rosewood tele, buy the jazzmaster and (presumably) have some cash left over? there's no way they're of equal value.

Heh Fellas

Wow, I didn't expect to get so much love over here in Short Scale land. I've only ever made one short scaler (a Mustang) and that was recently, so not sure how you have all had a go on it so quickly.

But here I was, sat in my imaginary clothes feeling my dick rock in the wind as I tried to teach that bleedin' chimp the difference between burnt ochre and king crimson for what must be the seventy-second time, when all those straws I can never really get a good hold of, fell into one of the buckets of wank I was about to sling over the chimp and all those shonky ebay parts I've been snapping up, and well, what can I say...I just kinda felt your vibe. Calling me.

Anyway, love what you've done to the place chaps, but I better shoot, the monkey don't feed itself...if you see what I mean.

I wish brands like fender and Gibson bowled in with name search posts like this.

Don't take it personal like.
