They sound great- it's my go-to guitar for recording. The bullet+ Fender Champ sounds so nice. The neck is quite a bit thinner than I'd ordinarily like, but the sound makes up for the neck profile.

I have read that the Musicmaster was the final version of the Vista series to be released. It wasn't as warmly received as the rest of the Vista series and could have spelled the end of the Vista line. Whether the slow sales were due to their being CIC or some other factor, they didn't sell well, hence the rarity. It's easy to play and I find myself picking it up often to work on song ideas- it is pretty loud unplugged compared to other electrics.
