Really tho, what's up with that silver jacket?
It's like he was one step ahead of Corgan... again.

Iron Butterfly played mostly Mosrites and this guitar is Mosrite copy. Do you have a link to this video.Cymbaline wrote:Watched both of the recent Cobain movies, Montage Of Heck and Soaked In Bleach.. remembered about this guitar. Man that fucker is nice.
Worth mentioning that Iron Butterfly uses the same model in tobacco sunburst color on In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida. So this guitar has got double allure and it's not exclusively a Cobain poseur guitar.
That doesn't look like a similar quality build to me at all...the body looks smaller and the bevel around the outside is a hard edge, pickguard is wrong (and slightly funny looking), standard boring humbuckers, recessed neck bolts, angled headstock instead of Fender style, etc. Not saying that it's a bad guitar---if they were sold in the US I might get one---or that the Eastwood is worth the extra, but IMO it looks like a cheap copy. The Eastwood version could be a reissue.dezb1 wrote:Beat me to it I was just going to post this^Gabriel wrote:Or for £120 and similar quality build

COMEDY FACT: they were also selling baritone versions of these; I know this because I very nearly bought one. So bad were they that Thomann ended up selling them off as being purely decorative and for display purposes only. Really.Fran wrote:Lol, you can't go wrong.Gabriel wrote:Or for £120 and similar quality build

That said, I'd play the shit out of that white one - I'm sure any hassles they had have been ironed out. Thomann are good.
Yeah Mosrite guitar, bass, and fuzz pedal.Cymbaline wrote:In The Garden Of Eden, honey
