What noise? The neck pickup on mine is quiet. Add some shielding. Hotrails and 1meg pots can solve it. I might go to 1 megs to brighten up the humbucker.
Too hot. I used a Lace Sensor Emerald.mkt3000 wrote:Lace Sensor Red

Nope, me too. Freakin hate it. Think i'll get another single coil and a new guard.Clipman3 wrote:I might be the first and only person to ever say this, but I despise the JB Junior in my Mustang. It's way to muffled sounding to me, even with 500k pots.
And i like it, sorry guys. But the humbucker have a lovley sound.gusman2x wrote:Nope, me too. Freakin hate it. Me too on both counts. Had JB Jrs in my old Mustang and didn't like them, and I just swapped out the full size JB in my KC Mustang for a BKP VHII which is beautifully clear. The JBs just sound muddy to me.gusman2x wrote:Nope, me too. Freakin hate it. Did you change out the vol or tone pot at the same time?Thom wrote: Me too on both counts. Had JB Jrs in my old Mustang and didn't like them, and I just swapped out the full size JB in my KC Mustang for a BKP VHII which is beautifully clear. The JBs just sound muddy to me.
Yeah, I agree that that sounds really nice. Just want a bit of bridge pickup bite. I want to use it in the band, but it's just too dark I think. Sounds great with distortion though, no arguments there.weeping_moon wrote:The split mode with the jb and the single coil sounds super!
No need to change the potentimeters. I like the way it is.
do as me. with clean split it with the single coil and the distortion sound just use the humbucker. the dark sound might help to just to take all the bass down and put middle to half and treble two nine or ten. the more guitars you have the more you have to adjust the amp settings and even your pedal settings. thats the beginners mistake!gusman2x wrote:Yeah, I agree that that sounds really nice. 70's Vibrolux Reverb, so it's most definitely a sparkly amp. Ear splitting with the Jag if I don't tame it with the tone, which makes the muddiness of the JB all the more unacceptable.weeping_moon wrote:
what kind of amp do you use?
Love the sound of the JB Jr with 1megs in my Jag, plenty of top end... might leave you fucked sorting a neck pickup though? Would probably allow you to use more similar amp settings to the Jag too, just going all buckery. I was thinking of bumping the Jag-Stang up to those so I'll report back on how that goes if it happens soon.gusman2x wrote:Nope, me too. Freakin hate it.
