I'm about to cheese up on one of these:

Gotta replace those green tuning heads though.

I was actually about to start a topic about my recent 2-week-long internet boner for semi-hollows.

Don't understand why people pay Gibson prices when some of these epiphones are so bloody good.

The little bit on the back of the Royale headstock says "Manufactured in the Epiphone Custom Shop, China" which I thought was a funny little touch. It'd send some corksniffers into space.

It matches my John 5 tele, so I don't think I'm taking the guard off mine.

I replaced the stock input jack because it was ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. Other than that, I'm very happy with the SHAD SIGNATURE EDITION RIVIERA.

The middle pickup volume is like a "Strat to P90" dial. It's insane. At 0 you have this rich P90 sound with INCREDIBLE attack, but at 10 you have a convincing strat-5-way 2 and 4 quacky setting.

Yup. Probably one of the best guitars I've ever owned.

There is a red one at a locale GC for $349 I'm thinking about getting because I don't own a guitar(anymore).

Anyone know how this works?

3-way switch controlling bridge/both/neck, middle pickup is always on so its controlled by its own volume knob

Sorry, that seems obvious now. I misread shad's post and though it was some sort of trickery that took out windings from the pickup or used some sort of varitone to actually make it more stratty.

I paid £350 for mine. Prodealz.

Although Thomann had their last one up for sale at £300 about a week after I bought it.
