It's a heavily modded Vintage VS6. I have no idea what the current pot value is but 500k seems pretty likely. I'm gonna look into replacing it with a 250k pot. Cheers guys!
Noisy Cat, yeah I've done that, surprisingly. The sound still isn't exactly as I want it, hence why I'm trying to figure out an alternative.

Buy some middle priced low output pickup like GFS, put it in the bridge and throw your neck pickup away(it'll change nothing but any guitar with empty pickup slot looks kickass). Or do it vice versa, put new pickup in the neck and throw away the bridge pickup, it'll give warmer tone.
Ice-picking pickups are common problem for majority of budget guitars. Cheap ceramic magnets(usually) and hot winding are the reasons. Throwing away your pot just increased the whole effect. My Squier Bullet Strat is ice-picking as hell, though I play it mostly unplugged

The pickups aren't stock, and I was always happy with the sound prior to these mods.
I probably just shouldn't have done any further modding, but I had the itch.

Reverse the mods - simples.

I prefer the look and feel of it now though, haha. Also, replacing the pot is probably gonna be less effort than reversing the mods!

Yo that is the worst pedal I've ever experienced. Within 5 minutes, I had relisted it on ebay.
It's interestingly bad. I've actually found a use for it here and there but it's surprising that it ever got made and sold.
