I own both a Black Russian Muff and a HM-2, they both can sound the same, but the HM-2 has more range of distortion, or even dirty boost; while its treble and bass tone controls are good for adjusting the tone. It's not a true fuzz though.

I would try a fuzz face, or a clone.

If you liked the Lovetone Big Cheese, which is a buffered Fuzz Face, check out the Magnetic Effects White Atom which is also a neat buffered Fuzz. Really versatile.

I really like the Fuzz Factory. It's a much more versatile and usable fuzz than just the crazy go nuts stuff that it does so well and has a reputation for.
+1 on the fuzz factory. I love that pedal.

Interesting fuzz! I like how it sounds but there is no italian site that sell it and it seems that the price is quite high. Is there something similar to this or the Big Cheese in a range of price under 100€ or less? I'm considering even to an original Black Russian Big Muff but the price is quite high anyway (from 100€ to 200€), maybe is there any low budget clone?. Besides, what does timhulio refer to when he talks about "buffered fuzz"? Because, if the Big Cheese and the White Atom are buffered fuzz (and I like them), perhaps it's the kind of fuzz I looking for.
