I voted black because it looks sexy as hell! I love white guitars with black pickguards, but I hate black guitars with white pickguards. Gold looks gay as everyone has already said, and I just think white looks too boring and average... I really don't see that many white teles with black pickguards but I have seen a lot of white teles with white pickguards.

I wanted to put a gold-guard on my white tele, but ended up going with MOP. Not bad at all.

Go for the 50's 1ply black scratchplate, they look ace on white bodies.

I put my other tele's wbw pickguard on the project one, and it looked BORING. I'm going with black. THX.
