the offer is the tele and case featured in OP + Boss ce-3 (green label) + $400 aud...

OR... tele & case + ce-3 + DD-2 + $300 aud....

((bangwall))

i said in my for sale/for trade ad that i was ideally looking to trade and down grade with cash to make up the difference so i can buy pedals that i want...
i meant downgrade as in a 500-600 dollar guitar with at least 300 cash...is this to much of a downgrade....have i lost my fucking mind...((hide))

I don't really understand the + signs, you mean he wants you to give him pedals and cash?

If so seems like a bad deal.

It actually doesn't seem like that horrible of a trade though certainly nothing swinging in your favor. Using US dollars, 65 Mustang reissues can be had for $600...the Squier probably sells in the $200 range and the pedals for $50 each. With the cash that is pretty much dead on. It definitely doesn't seem like he is trying to price it like it's a true Fender or pull one over on you. I would think a $600 guitar plus $300 cash is a trade swinging pretty far in your favor for sure.

I agree with this assessment. Only thing is I know the Australian guitar market is a bit weird. Do Mustangs cost much more than $600 over there?

That said, you should only do this deal if you actually want all the stuff you're getting....it's easier to unload one uncommon guitar than it is inexpensive common gear like Squiers and Boss pedals. But if you'll use the stuff for a while, you're tired of the Mustang and can use $300 to $400, I'd say you're alright IF your Mustang isn't actually worth $900 in your market or something
