Just watched that vid again and now I want an excelsior. ...and there's one for sale at my local shop for $240. May check it out tomorrow.

I did play it yesterday. Roadworn Jazzy sounded unusable through it, shrill icepick tones even in dark setting. I then played a danophobe Hodad with lipstick buckers through it and saw what the fuss was about. Really dig it, though I'm low on dispensable gear to trade and have pedalboard priorities. I might see what I can do tomorrow.
