Need to lend the guard to you to put some real marks on it. I don't really play aggressively enough to make my own wear like that. My oldest guitars are still pretty new looking.

Here is the body after aging. It just needs the wood parts darkened and the checking. Pretty excited! It is looking just like I hoped.

I can't wait until they finish the aging. I also really want to see the maple neck they finished for me.

I decided to try relicing an unbranded tremolo since it won't have a Fender decal. I think it turned out very well.

Yeah, not bad. Did you use muriatic acid fumes? I've been wondering how that would look on new shiny chrome stuff vs nickel plating.

Spot on, young man.

Thanks! I used the acid, but not a fume bath, I actually soaked the two plates in it for about an hour and rinsed it off with water and let it set over night before I used backing soda rinse to neutralized it. Very happy with it and the decal.

Body and neck came today! I am pretty psyched.

Looks pretty good with the parts sitting on it. My aging and theirs seems to match up pretty well. I will need to drill the thimble holes a little bigger and it will need to have the holes for the tremolo drilled and such, but should be an easy assembly this weekend.

I put together my drill press to drill the screw holes for the tremolo and did some work today. I also used a chisel to square the bottom of the tremolo cavity.

Then I got the bridge post holes enlarged a little so the cups fit. Went ahead and soldered the pickups in to the wiring harness and got it put the guard and neck on the body. It is pretty much done except I need two more pickup screws. Two of the ones I had were too stripped to install.

Once those are done I can get a nut on and strings on.
