Buying blind is baller as fuck.

I've never been able to take all my kit or spend enough time in a music shop to understand the gear I'm testing anyway. I trust the records and demos I hear enough.

And my tone is sick.

This arrived today and I'm having so much fun with it. Want to go back in time and slap myself in the face for saying "I prefer pedals for distortion".

The cleans are great too, many good settings to dial in and lots of texture and character to the tone, whatever that means haha.

it's exactly why i went back to my orange rig nick, still haven't found anything to really beat a cranked 15 watt orange. was using a amp in a box pedal to try and get the sound i already had with the amp already. i've even ditched my channel selector as i only ever use the fat channel on my dual terror.
not sure what tubes are in it already, but recommend a set of JJ's as a future upgrade, just adds even more mojo and lasts for years.

If it was good enough for Gary Moore, it's good enough for me...

If only Rob. I'd love to be as good as Gary Moore was. It took me about a month to learn his solo from Out in the Fields, I did the daft webcam on headstock video...

P.S. Sorry for the diversion Nick.

Haha no worries Fran, the thread already delivered on my original inquiry. I'd like to make a demo vid soon but I need to clean my practice space a bit first, also I need to get the nut fixed on my Burny, it's already developed a bit of buzz on the open D string...first fret doesn't look high so I'm guessing they'll fill the slot with epoxy and refile it.

On the subject of tubes, the previous owner swapped out an ecc83 for a 12au7, which according to him gave better headroom and sounds overall better. I love the sound as it is so I'd be inclined to believe him. He included the ecc83 with the amp, which was a JJ. Haven't opened it up to inspect the other tubes but will keep the recommendation in mind when I ever need to retube it.

I'd like to see a demo of that Burny! Forgot you owned that.

I'm in the same situation with demos/practice space, since my daughter moved back in I lost that spare room and just set up anywhere possible in the house now. My laptop finally died as well so I don't have any recording software, I just use a kindle fire for basic internet stuff.

Never checked the tubes in mine tbh, bought it from Reece and I assume they are the stock tubes.
