Guess between the tele and the strat, a les paul would complete the "classic guitar" set?
Not sure about a burst on a studio though, looks strange to me without the binding.

Yeah,I just had to have one so I went to Music-Go-Round today and got this one 1993 Wine Red Studio. with Gold hardware. I think the first Les Paul I bought was the same model.

Thanks! This is the other one that I bought.It was a 2002 model that I bought used at another Music-Go-Round in 2004(Uptown Minneaapolis,now closed)It was my first "real guitar".

Do I remember that one? Would you have posted it on here or had another in the meantime?
LPs are weird for me, I either really like them or really don't. I dislike bursts on them usually, but love wine red.

That one I sold before I joined this forum But I did post a picture of it in the 2004 section of my Guitar Scrapbook This one look just like it.
I found out that this guitar is actually a 94 not a 93 because all Gibsons had a special serial number that year starting with "94" because it was Gibson's 100th Anniversary.
Also this guitar has a rosewood fretboard and 93 Studio's had Ebony.

Congrats Westie. The 90s wine red studios remain some of the best LPs I've ever played. I love a 90s studio. Always wished I got one of the alpine white ones.

I actually bought a black '92 Studio in November and didn't post about it...
Along with a frankly obscene amount of pedals.
I always wanted one because Scott Kelly from Neurosis played one exclusively for decades, so I stuck a Duncan Distortion in the bridge and it's been a lot of fun.

This thread is making me really miss my 2007 Studio in classic white. I might have to keep my eye out for another one, or maybe just try to find an SG in the same color scheme since that’s probably more where I’m at now.

I have one of the Studio Gems from 1996 (amethyst), but I think I always wanted a "proper" studio lol. I had a black standard for a while, which I certainly wish I hadn't sold. I don't really get on with LPs at home, but I think I'd like to play them in a band setting.

Matt Talbot from Hum used to rock a wine red Les Paul Studio. I think he mostly uses a black one now. I have always loved his tone.

Yeah,I love the Ebony fretboard and 90s Gibson hardshell case. I almost passed on my guitar because it has a Rosewood Fretboard and didn't come with original case like yours. The 2002 Studio I had bought at Music-Go-Round in 2004 was $800 and it came with the original black pebble grained "Gibson USA" case which had grey a shroud and lining. This 1994 Studio was $750 but has an aftermarket case. I started driving home after buying just the Marshall 5005 Lead 12 amp. I was half way home when I decided I would regret not buying so I turned the car around and went back to Music-Go-Round and bought it. I'm really glad I did.
