Wow, didn't expect. You could try it just for laughs. However it's a bass built on strat's scale, the owner just put a bass bridge, nut and 4 tuners. I was thinking more of a bass where you move the bridge back to the bottom of the body, take old frets out, glue the fret slots, mark and saw new fret slots for 27" scale and install new frets. Ideally, the holes for strat trem should be filled and the body itself refinished into a "my neighbour's old decrepit fence" color.
