I'm starting to go off the Waza idea. It's just mass producing existing/reissued pedals, sometimes with an additional feature. Which is kinda what Boss did anyway, before they thought of calling it Waza and charging a boutique premium.
Like, it occurred to me that if they released the DS-2 today, it would be hella expensive and it would be called a DS-1w.
Are they abandoning their usual sort-of-iterative design process?

Yes for cashmoney
I’m an og waza hater
Just reissue the pedals people want like the VB-2 without scalping people
I feel boss peaked with the DD-20 Giga delay or maybe that first red compact looper pedal

My DM-2W is pretty sweet. If you want a VB-2 just get a Behringer or TC Tailspin.

Well that’s two options one of which has terrible bypass and the other is very very ugly
Luckily I don’t want a vb-2 I was just figuratively speaking
This stuff makes sense to me (a socialist) but I gues capitalism gotta capitalise

How does the Marshall Shredmaster compare to a HM-2? I remember you built a couple of those aswell.

The 6CH vid is pretty good, compares it with a lot of more modern options.

Sounds GOOD but nothing remarkable (to me, at least); it’s like a smoother, mid-focussed DS1 with the right settings.

It's pretty different - doesn't get as high gain or loud and it's more of a smooth compressed drive - but the 3 band EQ makes it pretty easy to tweak.
A little on the noisy side hiss wise as I recall and a little weak volumewise too, both can be fixed though
IT HAS THAT CREEP SOUND YO

Looking forwards to hearing your takes on it.

Hilariously, the new Line 6 HX series update includes a HM-2 'Swedish Chainsaw' model; everyone's got HM-Fever.
I updated my HX Stomp last night and had a quick play- it definitely sounds inline with that 60 Cycle Hum video (who are apparently doing a demo today comparing this model with the real thing).

Funnily enough the friend who originally lent me his HM-2 just sent me this video out of the blue.
Nicely done demo mate.

Cheers. Its had a mixed reaction. I have been watching probably too many how to make your YouTube channel grow videos of late and went for a proper shitty YouTuber title which has upset a lot of people. However its easily done way better than any of my other videos in a couple of hours. I also got accused of posting the link in too many groups haha I can't win. I cant expect my bollox to go viral by its self I am not baby monkey on a skateboard!
Anyway I actually really enjoyed a lot of the tones available still Don't think its that special though.
