I've known about Avatar for a while, but sadly I'm UK based. It's a shame really cos we don't really have affordable cab makers. There are some boutique makers but nothing at Marshall prices but better build/components.

I was looking at one of the Vox 2x12 that go with the new AC30s as a cheap but should sound ok option.
You can get Avatar cabs in europe from http://www.gear4music.nl/
It was posted the other day - can't remember who did.
Nice.

It's a pity it seems to be a flash site and isn't really working for me a the moment.

Definitely, great link Thom. I've emailed them for a quote on an unloaded or Vintage30 loaded 2x12 Custom.

Cool. Let me know what they come back with Mike.

Mickie - Sounds like a great little amp, I'm keen to try one.

Has anyone seen the new avatar cabs that have custom hardwood trim... They look cool. I don't even think they have pricing on them as they were not on the website last week, but were on there today (without a price)

I'd be interested in hearing that quote too. I see that Avatar are offering orange tolex too now, I'm wondering if these guys will order that as well. You can't have an Orange amp without an orange cab.

You'd need an amp with huge dials and a light-up VU meter to do that justice.

If I can get the info to show up, I plan on bringing my Tiny Terro to the ALBQ for anyone who wants a shot at it.

OH SHIT! You're sharing the rehearsal space with Jason and company. I saw your amp last week when Jason and James were moving stuff out and actually played through it a little bit. Very nice! Definitely bring that tonight. Oh, that Taylor is pretty sweet too.

That amp sounded great and recorded well considering the live setup. I'll try and break some of the more salvagable tracks out. Thanks for bringing it!

that's cuz you're a girl, doug. remember... the gain knob doesn't have to be on 10!! roll that shit back and clean it up a bit. it does a really smooth light OD tone... i LOVE that amp. i'd kill to have it on top of either an orange 112 or 212 cab. rawr. sexy.
