I wouldn't get one to gig with unless you want crunchy distortion all the time.

You don't buy a 15w tube amp for cleans in a gig situation, duder

I might get one before the summer. It'll involve saving half of the money, and taking the other half out of my student loan.

hmmmm.

Even the tone control was totally useable, it never felt like there were any lows, highs or mids missing on 90% of the dial. Even all the way up, it didn't sound really harsh or anything.
this is why i love Orange & Matamp. you basically described all their amps.

the lunchbox is cool, though i want to save up for a Rocker 30 combo... 12" speaker & some more volume.

The one thing I like about Orange and Matamp (especially Matamp) is they build their amps to a spec rather than an price. So they are pretty bullet proof and reliable and sound great because of it.

Yeah, they're great. I'd really wanna try one out through my own cab (or similar) to see how much difference it makes, Orange cabs are probably reet posh as well.

I actually set up the Marshall when I got back and realised I really like the sound of it too. Maybe part of the WOW factor was the fact I'd not jammed on a tube amp since my last gig in mid December. Still a great sounding amp though, no doubts.

A tubeless life is no life at all.
