It sounds like a big crow being strangled.
Was that the noise on "Wolf At The Door" or whatever it was called?

I was going to say a whammy, but ohter people got there first.
How far up/down can the boss go? The whamy's two octaves either direction, with a divebomb feature, that is actually three octaves down. I don't use that bit very much.

Yeah two octaves in either direction on the PS-5 too. I fookin' love mine, it does sooo much.

It would be handy having a mix control. The whammy doesn't offer much by way of subtlety. It only really does that
buuhhhaaweeeee sound. Although it is great fun.

I really reckon the PS-5 is worth the extra money (having to buy an exp. pedal and all) over the Whammy, but fair play to Digitech for inventing it in the first place.

It probably is. However, I got my Whammy for ninety brick, off of Donko, whcih was nice. The power-lead's gone missing though, and Digitech are the only people to make them. Forty quid they want. Bastards.

Boss make really good pedals. They get far too much negative press, mainly because they're a large company. The bypass on all their pedals save for the SD-1 is really nice aswell - good buffer.

I wasn't actually aware they got bad press till I started posting here. Until then, I'd alwyas thought they were the pedal company.
I love my PW-10 V-Wah. No-one else does, sniff.

If you think the anti-Boss sentiment here is bad (I don't particularly) - try thegearpage.net or HarmonyCentral effects forum. boss is a four letter word there - corksniffers.

I'm like the anti gear-snob or something. The last few weeks I've started to realise how much I love my Chinese Jagmaster, with it's fizzy as hell stock pickups, and my big-ass solid state (ish) Marshall.

Yeah, that was one of the reasons that swayed me to the Boss. Fuck pricey, fancy, weedy adaptors.
