It'd be nice to see the guitar when it's being played. Though I feel pedantic for saying that!

Doesn't sound too bad, though.

The blacktop strat is a copy of some not-too-famous blues/country chick's guitar from back in the 90s, I can't remember her name. A few old Guitar Player mags I had featured blurbs on her and had pics of her holding a strat exactly like that, right down to the amp knobs.

What a bunch of bland uggos. That line-up pretty much says it all.

The UK price for the Blacktop Jazzmaster varies between £459 & £587.... according to google.

I noticed the Jazzmaster Tremolo doesn't have the lock on it. Has Fender made other guitars with a non- locking Jazzmaster tremolo? Could it be switched out for another Jazzmaster/Jaguar tremolo with a lock?

Trem locks are very useful. I plan on getting the Sunburst Blacktop JM and the first thing I'll do is drop an avri trem in it.

At first I thought these guitars were terrible, but now they're growing on me.

It's the first time Fender has done something different with the Jazzmaster other than custom jobs or signature models.

I both understand and use the trem lock. Not so much if a string breaks (handy for that, but I seldom break strings) but it's amazingly handy for providing a static reference point when you're setting the trem spring tension.

It's also nice if you don't use the trem as much.
