How much does the Japanese version sell for now? I always liked how it came in 3 versions. Total Kurdtz at one end and lightly modded jag at the other. I almost bought the version that was kurtzified apart from the bridge which was still Jag style. Plus it was the tasty regular headstock.

Earlier back in this thread I posted an ebay link for one of these, lefty. It was going for $2500, which is retarded. I'm not sure how much the righty version was.

Welcome to the Recession.
Fender prices are a lot higher than they used to be across the board.
I bought my Baja Telecaster for £389. Now costs £520. 33% increase.
I bought my CP Jaguar for £520. Now costs £765. 47% increase.

costs are up due top extra VAT we now have to pay and also increased fuel duty/prices and import tax. its silly but most prices for new stuff seem to be up about 50%

Not just that, Fender prices shot up to a ludicrous level in the US during the recession as well. The $600 MIM Classic series all went up to $950, then they tried to spin it like they were in the interests of teh peoplez for bringing them down to $700-ish months later (by sheer coincidence, it was quick on the tails of Gibson's $700 SGs).

His video may be named for the guitar he's holding, but he's actually trying to sell you the amp instead. Dork.
I have to admit I am slightly tempted, it's so weird seeing a guitar I'd actually want to buy in left handed. The price sucks, but it's better than the prices on getting a CIJ lefty Jag. I'd almost want one as a backup guitar.
GUHDAMMIT. I fucking hate teh Kurtz for liking the same shit I do.

Besides, I'd have to make several modifications to it right off the bat, starting with ditching that stupid control plate with three knobs and replacing the tuners. Nah, I'm gonna just focus on my next build project, a Supersonic clone.

It's really tempting. When I do a search for "left handed jaguar" I actually get hits now, and it's for this guitar. I'd swap control plate and put a standard two-knob in there, remove the switches and neck pickup. I'd have to convert it to being how I'd actually want it to be in order to pull it off. I've always wanted another jag that I could do up all weird, I don't really want to modify my '96 MIJ but I want a bridge bucker, dammit.

I quite like the 3 knob control plate. If I buy one I'm totally taping up the rhythm plate A LA COBAIN

Sounds real nice, both cleans and gains. Approve, but not for me.

There's been a number of occasions where I look this up on a website, and think 'I could pay £X a month for this, it is 0% after all.'
This is the guitar that got me into Jaguars, and then all the other Shortscale goodness. A part of me is saying 'Buy this, it is beautiful!', but another part is saying, 'Do you need another guitar?'
I WANT THIS GUITAR AND I AM NOT ASHAMED TO SAY IT!
