Though, I have a wierd issue. Try turning the reverb all the way up and play aggressively at a pretty loud volume for a bit. I get this feedback tone that starts building up, and persists even when I turn BOTH guitar pickups off? How is this possible? The noise stops when the volume goes back down, which doesn't make sense if the pickup turning off didn't change anything. Also the head rattles on a G note consistently. What about yours?

I have none of those problems I'm afraid.

If the head rattles on a G it is because your Cabinet is making it to so. Make sure it's sturdly on the cab and not resting on anything else.

Here's my Sailplanes setup at the moment. It's quite a minimal sound with very little fuss.

Musima Elgita ---> Korg DT-10 tuner -> MXR Micro Amp clone with AMZ buffer -> Utility Perkolator -> Schaller Tremolo clone -> Behringer Verbzilla copy ---> Fender Musicmaster Bass amp.

Btw what are your settings for the reverb machine?
I've got one aswell and still haven't got my head around it tbh.

Any good modulation suggestions? I've got a "well featured" delay on the way and it's made me realize that I have no modulation on my board...

Coolio. I'll post it asap (which likely means tomorrow lunchtime). On the Behringer (I only use it for one song btw) I've got all the knobs set at about 12 o'clock, the reverb type at '63 Spring and trails to off. It sounds pretty good to me, but I'm hoping to build spring reverb into the amp (or better get someone else to do it).

You can have the regenerator back. haha, I love that pedal but its made me realize that all I want is a chorus. So small clone for me!

whats your well featured delay? Are you getting the M9?

Nah, it's a great unit that I might get later on down the line for a practice board or something. If I got the m9 I wouldn't need modulation, it's bonkers

Nova came in today
Lava's Right Angled cables kits are still in production and are backordered at the moment, should be in in about a week or so. Which is good because i don't have enough cables as it is!

Mike is building me a DLS/OCD in a single case that will replace the box of cake, put the MB on its own power supply and the modulation sounds a lot smoother, delays are a bit cleaner and feedback sounds how i think i should.
Nova is sweet, i'm still messing with the presets but i've got a few keepers saved already.
VPJR to replace the Mister Crybaby, which is only used as a volume pedal.
Possibly POG2/Micro POG to replace the Sunface [black pedal]

Did you modify that Musima bridge Tim? Looks like a Jazzy bridge on there.

Quite similar actually, however the stock musima bridge is made of preeety thick steel. And the assembly doesn't rock, it's got individual rollers for the strings.
In all, it's a good bridge, if a little unrefined!

Haze what happen to the MXR Carbon Copy? got rid of it or did it just get bumped off???

Sold'd. Went to a friend of mine. It's an outstanding analog delay but it just didn't stand out in a live band. The repeats are very dark on longer delay times and it just didn't suit my needs. the Memory Boy might not stay much longer either I'm afraid. Need me some modulaion and another TC product just might fit the bill.

added the volume pedal again, set so i have my base level at 3/4 and lead boost at fully down. added slightly gritty boost from the mudhoney for extra sustain on a few solos.

Here's my new setup. *copy & pasted from mikes pedal thread.

Got my madebymike footswitch today ... also a new board layout for me & other mods.

The baby blue pedal switches between clean / crunch / overdrive all at the click of one button. Also reverb !! So basically... left switch clean Amp / dirt amp and then on & off for the OCD on the right.

I always found layering dirt made things muddy despite trying to many times to marry numerous different dirts together. If ever I wished to revert back to clean promptly from here it proved very difficult.

Mike worked pretty hard liaising with me in order for this to work, and the results are perfect in terms of functionality and aesthetics.

Big thanks to Mike for this... I really never thought this was going to be at all possible... EVER.

The CS-3 made way for the new footswitch... I like having everything powered up without having to resort to battery power. I have now moved the delay after the dirt.. for a much more subtle dirt / delay combo.

I had to file some slots into the side of the board on both sides to allow my leads to push in & out, I wanted everything to be on on level. In doing so the internal material all fell apart leaving some very undesirable and messy looking wood. I decided to paint it up white. Should be much much easier to clean now compared to before !! Everything is attached using chain links.
