YES! It finally worked. For some reason the flash went off, and reflected in the window (arghh!!!).

funny, i used to use a polaroid quite a lot when i was at college and never had any trouble with it. maybe they've changed the film in some way?

you can get some quite interesting results if you manipulate the image before the chemicals have dried, i.e. scratch it with something or smear your thumb over it. there's something about the quality of polaroid images that's so nice to look at, the way they saturate. it's a bit like the way lomo pictures look.

Yeah, this is something that happens just with the new ones this company make. This is what it says on the site: "First Flush Film is experimental material that will produce changing results depending on light conditions and temperature. Pictures may change even weeks or months after exposure. Early batches of these first flush edition films may have some peculiar characteristics, such as white dots and/ or an undeveloped patch in the picture area. (please also see the sample gallery below) "

It's cool but pretty expensive when you can't be sure how its going to come out lol Also they only do monochrome at the moment, I heard they are going to make colour film by the summer. I got some film developed today from the old Olympus om30 I got. Tesco gave me a free CD with one roll of film on it too, here's a few:





I wasn't sure how they would come out, or whether the camera was even working. Besides a dirty lens it seems perfect. I love the colours.
Now I need to take some proper photos in some good locations.

those are very nice euan. what are you shooting with again?

Just a 350D with the Canon 1.8f 50mm lens. Its pretty difficult doing gigs because I'm always in a static position right at the front if I can get there.

The film was just some I bought with my Diana F+ camera...this one: Lomography Colour film. ISO 100

My 2nd roll was ISO 800 film. Not sure what the difference is, can't see any noticeable differences in the prints. I'm yet to get those on the PC.

haha, my dad is a bit obsessed with fighter jets and R.A.F planes etc. He lives in North Wales so he's pretty close to R.A.F valley in Anglesey - where that was taken. You can stand right at the end of the runway, it's pretty cool. They fly really low over your head and its fucking loud haha. We also saw the royal helicopter dropping/picking up prince William that day. Apparently he is learning to be a sea rescue pilot there.

the last one is out our bathroom window (new), and it's genuine sunlight, but there's a red umbrella on the lanai. that was basically my first sight that morning.
