Totally. I really want to make it happen and have for a while, so I really think I will when I can afford one. I might need assistance getting one of those Jags sent to the UK though...

For about £500,000,000 at least. Well, maybe not. How much was your Baja? I guess I'm jumping the gun a bit, I just really want to get my hands on one.

I like the look of the Candy Apple Red Jaguar, I hope these come to the UK soon so we can see how much they're going to go for. I'm guessing the MIJ ones will still work out cheaper though.

My friend who works for Fender says no lefties unfortunately, and that they'll be over here soon after NAMM next week. I'll update with more info whenI get it.

you know, I was looking at a couple of the other guitars in the "classic players" line, the classic player 50s and classic players 60s strat. they have super wack features that are completely not "classic" at all just like these jazzy/jaggies. well, I happen to like these jazzy/jaggies but the fact that they call the strats the 50s and 60s strat when there is absolutely nothing 50s or 60s about them except perhaps the maple neck/rosewood neck is just stupid.

They're CLASSIC PLAYER guitars. Not classic reproductions or reissues, but new playing designs that take some cues from the originals. The Baja Telecaster is just a riff on a '52 Telecaster with modern features. There's nothing wrong with that.

I haven't really been keeping up with shortscale, but I'm interested in these and I found this thread...has anyone here bought one of these yet? I went to GC last night to check these out. I played the HH Jag and the Jazzy and LOVED them both. Anybody who likes offset guitars and puts these down without even playing them is crazy. I think I am going to go back and put some money down on a black jazzy. That's basically the guitar I have been wanting to build for the last several years, and now I don't have to.
So other people have said this...but I'll confirm. The Jaguar's humbuckers left a lot to be desired. That's certainly an easy fix though for what feels like a good guitar otherwise. The quality is right up there with MIJ / CIJ models, maybe even better. The neck is especially great. It's nothing at all like an MIM strat or tele neck for those who are worried about that. The frets are well dressed, and the finish looks amazing. Previously I had decided that I don't like the feel of most shortscale necks, but with a 9.5" radius instead of a 7.25" radius, it's amazingly playable, and I didn't have any of the "note-out" problems on heavy bends that I used to have with my jag and mustang. My only other complaint is that the tailpiece is indeed very poorly made...on the one I played, the socket for the arm had fallen down into the body and was useless. Thankfully the Jazzmaster didn't have this problem. I did notice some tuning instability using the trem, but that was mostly because it had brand new strings on it. My only complaint was that the neck pickup is much, much darker than the bridge pickup, and in order for it to be of any use I had to crank the treble on the amp. The two pickups combined sounded beautiful though. I'll probably end up replacing both anyway, though. It'll need a bridge with roller saddles and roller string trees too, and I might file the nut slots to be a bit bigger if necessary. Really though, I don't have much bad to say about them! Very impressed.

I've always found that shortscale necks deal with smaller radii better... After all, they're easy enough to bend with in the first place, so long as silly strings aren't used...
