Fender prices are a lot higher than they used to be across the board.

I bought my Baja Telecaster for £389. Now costs £520. 33% increase.
I bought my CP Jaguar for £520. Now costs £765. 47% increase.
costs are up due top extra VAT we now have to pay and also increased fuel duty/prices and import tax. its silly but most prices for new stuff seem to be up about 50%
Interesting concept.. Recession..... Raise prices...Tax people MORE....Make buying new purchases even less affordable . Great way to kickstart the economy . I'd just get the wiring schematics , tell Fender to " Eat a Wank " and convert your own Jag into a KC if you want one . Hell, all they played was old pawn shop specials anyway . Charging all that money for that guitar just doesn't sit right ... They just made a toy for the Yuppies pretty much..

Cool I'll see what I can do, it's unlikely I will buy it unless it really wins me over. If it does I'll probably still go down the secondhand route.

What Nirvana songs do you want to hear ?

Sorry didn't get a video (apart from my colleague dicking around).... as I had too many interruptions, but have a ton of pics I'll post tomorrow.

I'm really impressed. It's exactly what I thought it would be.

I really like the Super Distortion bridge pup... I instantly thought I was Kurt hahaaa.... really articulate sounding.

Relicing is good albeit a few of the larger areas. the buckle rash for example. Just a little crude.... but if you don't already own a vintage instrument then it'll probably come across fine and dandy. I'm spoilt in that sense. The finer relic spots are great. Exactly the same view I had of the road worn teles. Otherwise apart from a few of the slight anomalies mainly reported on offset then I think it's a winner. All aesthetic mind you.

Really though, if you like the price, the general vibe... you wont be disappointed. They could easily charge more for this.

Plus is come equipped with heavy gauge strings so you can really give it the once over. I had a hard time tuning it up by ear but the tuners felt great. I think the strings were maybe binding at the nut or the strings hadn't been stretched properly. I didn't investigate enough on that one. All the common minor floors reported with standard jags, this one escapes them all. It's a really hitter though. You can tell it was made for some heavy response.

I really like, those of you who have shown an interest I'm sure will too. Pics pending.

I'm drunkard. Bye.

Cobain + Mascis = Cobascis - signature guitars came out at the same time. Wooooaah. This looks pretty sweet.

God fuck you. Stop talking good about this guitar so I can avoid buying one. This is the first lefty Fender shortscale
available to me in my lifetime.

Very nice, except the chipping on the back and upper horn look a little too purposeful. Other than that it looks great. Thanks for putting them up

drilling holes where the OG tuners would have been is a nice detail- shame they couldn't get the slightly-more-obvious neck pickup placement right.

So these don't actually say Cobain anywhere on them, right? That's a plus.

Frets are too big! :(

Not a deal breaker, but I really like tiny frets.

Every time I see this guitar I want it a bit more.

I wish there was a demo showing its versatility more so than overdriven power chords. Humbuckers seem to make fairly weak/weird clean sounds to my ears, at least the JB Jnr in my Jag does.

I still think these are really smart, although Benecol is trying his best to talk me out of it :-/

Get one, Mike.

I predict, by next year if these are still offered I'm going to end up with one, but I'll never tell a soul that I did.
