^^^^DO WANT a fallout like that one. There’s a tribute series one at a shop near me and it’s in white and it’s calling to me

Mine's a Tribute Series, and it needs nothing. Literally, the Fallout and Doheny are the only two guitars I've felt were perfect from the box (well, perfect enough - the Doheny needed a setup.

Haven't done a group shot in a while...forgive the mess on the wall, removed some parts of my basement kitchen and haven't got around to painting it yet.

That Ovation is just something else. Is it fully hollow?
And the three amps all with different voicing (and the Peavey of course). Which one do you prefer best nowadays?

the Ovation is my favorite, I've owned it my whole adult life and it's the one I would keep if I had to sell everything else. It has a center block, not fully hollow.

As for the amps, I usually play the Orange (or Peavey) if I'm playing anything with distortion, and the Fender for cleans and pedals. If I had to trim down to one amp I'd keep the Fender. The Vox probably gets the least love, it sounds great but has a noise issue (similar to a tube rattle) at specific frequencies due to a design flaw and I haven't bothered to try to modify the chassis to correct it yet. TBH I practiced and gigged with it for months and didn't notice the issue until I tried to record with it, but now that I know it's there I can't unhear it.

Cool. I don't think I saw this Ovation model anywhere except here. I think this cheap Oscar Schmidt OE30 can be modified to emulate it. It'll just need adapter rings to accommodate those Filtertrones and maybe a Bigsby

It's interesting to know that about that Vox model. Is it a handwired model? I remember people liking them a lot, it might be nobody tried to record them back then. And yes, these modern Blackface and Silverface amps from Fender seem to have become a gigging standard even for big artists. Speaking about recordings, did you release anything new?

It is hardwired, it's the AC15H1TV model. The problem is the plate the tubes sit on is not secured on several sides, so when it's pushed at certain frequencies the plate acts like a spring and sends vibrations through the tubes. I've been playing it more again lately, it's a really fantastic amp in spite of the issue.

Haven't released anything new of my own in a while now but I did join a band recently , and will hopefully record something as a full band later this year.

Fixed my setup from the last picture. Light Pank tele has replaced the CAR Strat on the wall for now. My Rolands will replace the Casios on the tiered stand once I get my Juno. Having everything set up like this now is awesome but it also makes me feel I might have a bit of a problem....

Since I no longer practice with a band in here the space has become more of a studio. I do still want to get some sort of small PA setup though for jamming with friends now and then. Thinking of a rackmount power-amp and use my interface as a passive mixer, and a couple of small 10" monitors. That and some decent cymbals. Then I can stop.

Haha yeah, got it out from under the bed last week. I needs a lot of work! Truss rod needs adjusting, the strings are about 3 miles away from the frets. Ideally I’d like to get a 24 Fender neck and route the neck pocket. Not sure I’ll ever do it though.

What a difference a year makes.....lots of stuff came and went. The Yamaha YC-30 is gone, as is the Rick bass and Vox amp. The Daisy is still for sale, I’m no longer borrowing the pink Tele. I also flipped a Fender Champion 30, a Blues Jr and got rid of some cheap keyboards.

New stuff is a $25 Cort Bass with a twisted neck I bought yesterday and converted to fretless, a Bronco bass, Silvertone Bobkat, Danophobe DC3 and Yamaha SA-80t. I also picked up a bunch of new keyboards now, Firstman FO999s organ, CZ-5000 and Nord Electro 2. Also finally have a new PA system (Fender Passport Venue) and playing with a new band down here again.
