^Oh shit, great idea!
And the Tele is aesthetically perfect, I love the trc, fingerboard and body binding, CBS stock, etc... all the features set each other off.

I am putting some other details, like the decal, putting "fender" on the headstock and "teletone" on the truss rod cover, thoughts?

Nice! I like how you didn't go with a tint with your neck because that color looks better with the lighter wood.

Here is a quick demo, I still need to raise the action a bit, and put some more foam under the bridge pickup. Please excuse the into ration caused by garage band, and the sloppy playing caused by my lazy fingers.

I prefer the maple neck on the green one, so I am going to strip the headstock back and have the body rebound to match the neck

Clearcoat got a bit messed in transport, then I botched the bushing instal. It ain't pretty at the moment, and I never bonded as much with the new neck on this guitar. The bound jag is getting tele pups so I am hoping a rosewood board will tame them a bit.

Project jele-bro is back on track, I got the pickguard, and 2 of 3 plates on it.
I need a job so I can get the routing (two tele bridge pickups) and binding (with another quick clearcoat) done, in the interim, I threw on some portishead and did a quick setup.
