£417? I thought they were meant to be affordable?
They're nice and all but that is still a hefty price in my opinion.

Absolutely!
If that indeed turns out to be what they cost, I don't see a reason why one shouldn't just turn to the used CIJ market.

£417? yikes. but when you think about all the parts involved, it almost makes sense. it's still cheap for a jazzmaster, but i doubt i'll be buying it.

Street prices are always negotiable.

they said that was reduced from the RRP already and wouldn't be able to do anything on it as it was a new model. I think you're right Sterwart but add to the cost of making it inflation, 20% VAT and costs of distribution these days then its not a surprise that premium squirers are now getting so expensive.

UGH.

I was hoping for a 350 dollar squier fuck paying 400 something.

I can't seem to find used Japanese Jazz's for cheap - check it: MIJ Jazzy for 999
WHY so expensive fuck.

I think i am just behind the times. Scoring CIJ Fender Jaguars and Jazzmasters for £350+ was once a regular thing but now it seems even Squier versions cost more than that. :?
Still, if i had that money, at £417 i'd be looking more towards a handmade Gordon Smith. I dont need to pay that money just to be in Kool & the Gang, had Jazzmasters and they are nothing amazing beyond they look good.

For the first time ever Squier have disappointed me.

if that ends up being like $450 in the states, I'd say it's totally worth it. Epiphone les paul standards sell for like $500 new right?

Fixed.

Doubt it. Never really see CVs come up on ebay when I was looking, they were rare as.

I've been looking for a Tele recently and they haven't been coming up on ebay.

@ £280 it'd be hard for me not to be tempted by one of these.
