ahh I see. The wonders of urban dictionary.
Need to rewire it for psa instead of aca. The daisy chain method doesn't seem to work on this one. Either that or the led is shagged. It's very dimmly lit.
is it one of them old 12v jobbies? my DF-2 was like that.

yes i think so. i know you can normally daisy chain to get round it. i could really use the LED working, though to be fair i know when it's on lol.
interestingly, the led is very dim on battery power, though that might be an old battery.

I was really close to buying an M9, but I know what I'm like. I wouldn't use it to it's potential, I actually use only a few different sounds in my band(s).
I think I was just in love with the technology of it for a while there, the M13 and M9 are just really good pieces of kit. Multi-FX done right.

i'm still gonna get an M9, it's gonna be the best way to cover a lot of ground. i'd probably set it up so i can have a scene for the first set and one for the second set. then i could have my pitch-shifter and trems on tap for owner of a lonely heart and how soon is now and my slapback delays and leslie etc for crazy little little thing called love and hush.

I think it'll be perfect for you. It is limitless.
- 6 effects stompable on an off at any one point in time
- 24 difference such setups (scenes)
it's a hugely powerful and player orientated tool. I just know it's not for me personally as a guitar player because whilst I'm really interested in all this stuff, I'm completely amish at heart. I really could live just going into my 6100 via a tuner and just use Clean and Crunch channels. My board is now down to my Tuner, Saltbooster, Saltshaker and EchoBase, and I'm finding even that a little bit excessive.

i mainly have two different setup heads
The first is the cover band head where i need access to a fair few effects with the flexibility of being to able to cope with anything the band wants me to do. The M9 would do that and sack the need for a tuner amp foot-swtich. probably wouldn't even need a pedalboard to stick it on.
The second is my personally preference which is as little gear as possible, because i don't find it need it. a guitar, some kind of OD/boost and my amp with a bit of reverb dialled in would be plenty for me. thats what i use in my new band, which is more rock based and original material.

You never know, though. You may end up using much more of the pedal than you originally expected.
Plus, it's not like you have to use the M9 only in your band situation. Why not have new things to come up to them with? It's always fun to surprise people when i comes to stuff like that.
I bought the M13 with the intention of only using the delays, but now I'm using a good portion of the pedal. It's up to you whether or not it feels like your money's worth.

can you store loops in the M9/M13? i know it has a looper built in, but can't remember if you can store them or not.
i'm thinking i could loop the main intro chords of weather with you, so when i start the lead part it won't sound empty like it does at the moment.

I don't think you can store the loops, I do that plenty with the rc-2 to fill in lead bits.
Guess what showed up today
i don't see a dls anywhere on his board
here is some random gear porn:
Signal chain goes:
OCD/DLS custom build [close up -

LPB-1
VP-JR
Sunface clone
Pitchblack
Marshall Regenerator
Nova Delay
Hardwire Reverb
RC-2
for gigs i run a stereo signal from the regen to the nova to the rv-7 like so: [These lava cables are GREAT!]
the rc-2 is there for practice, jamming with buddies
The whole board is powered via a 1-Spot power supply, yes even the Nova Delay
I keep everything tidy with zip ties
heres a shot of the back of the board, shameless advertising and my pick holder

everyone needs one of these things close by, forget those altoid cans, just slip one out and rock

Yeah, unfortunately there's no storing of the loops. One of the few downsides to the machine.

so i bought one of them cheapy shelves from ikea and made a new smaller pedalboard. i'd trim the cables but my board changes a lot so i'd probably regret it down the line.
this does basically everything i need.
the "spares".
i usually have at least one of these slotted between the big muff and the marshall reflector on my main board. can't bring myself to sell any of them though. i much prefer to trade pedals.

put together a little board for facemelttonez. lots of fun to be had in there (not for my neighbours, alas).
i found that EQ pedal in its box in my mate's garage, he had no idea where it came from, said he'd never seen it before in his life.
