it's likely the guard is a 70s one, in which case you'll have a bit of trouble fitting. same thing happened to me in reverse when i put the 60s guard on my compstang.
nice colour scheme though.

I'm using my HH Jag more often now, I also ditched the single ply black guard in favour of a white one.

Glad to see a fellow Scot back on the board.
You don't happen to drive a silver Corsa or a blue Daewoo do you?

No Euan, I don't drive at all. Did you see someone driving around with a HH Jag?
The 60s one is doing very well, It gets the most playtime these days, it was a quick and easy fix thankfully.

That's what I thought, unless he's got you down as a suspect for his two bicycle mishaps recently.

did you consider a 3ply pickguard? i think the black middle layer would have looked boss.

It is 3 ply, if you click on the pic you might be able to see it non-pixelated. I meant to write W/B/W but I'm too lazy
The fingerboard looks way lighter in the pics than it actually is too.

why didnt you ditch the rings while you were at it?
edit- come to think of it, you wouldnt wanna scratch those pretty mounting rings. get some little pickguards for those.

Can't get over how huge and clumsy those pickups look on a Jaguar. The poor scratchplate is so cramped.

Ehh, as I've said before... Looking at humbuckers mounted on a Fender pickguard without the ring, and seeing the usual gaps around them is worse than staring up someone's nostril.
If you HAVE to do Gibson buckers on a Fender, they ought have rings.
But they should be chrome rings at least...

I like the pups and rings, it's that whole 70's cheap vibe. It looked way too neat/emo when it was all black.
If I could be arsed I'd put mounting rings on my Jagmaster.
