I could knock a little one up at some point though I guess, I've pm'd JD about this being finished but he hasn't got back to me, I think he's on holiday or something, or maybe has a real life. Does anyone have his mobile number to drop him a text and let him know it's done?
Yeah I can txt him.

Would be nice to hear a vid from you dude.

Yeah, I've been so busy building recently I haven't had the time to do one in a long time.

I hope to be able to do one of the Vintage Delay soon, plus I'd like to get this to JD as soon as I can. I'm making Benecol a Fuzz Face with fuller mods and also doing a Green Big Muff for ebay (which I can definitely demo) and another Woolly Mammoth, so I should be able to demo some stuff soon, if not the Fuzz Factory (which is an awesome pedal by the way, I love it).

This week is a little busy - band rehearsal tomorrow, friends' birthday Weds, playing football Thurs, first time I'll get to build/demo will be Fri/Sat/Sun

Done
1. JD's Fuzz Factory - Completed.

In progress:
2. Benecol's FuzzFace with Fuller mods - parts ordered. Going to be in a BB case with battery power a must, jacks on the top, portrait style, pink LED if it's not just white, Green if the LED looks crap. Silver. Silver and Black knobs. Board built. Case marked, will be drilled tonight.
3. Astro - Saltbooster, waiting on feedback before marking case to drill

4. Ebay Big Muff - takes lowest priority obviously. Board built, not tested - Case drilled and painted
5. Woolly Mammoth - case marked, will be drilled tonight

out of interest, could you modify an exsisting pedal? i.e a home built one.

i want to mod my treble booster, but i think i'll end up fucking it up if i do.

i want to add a 9v boss style connector, bypass switch and an led. possibly in a metal enclosure like the saltbooster.

I'd need to see the circuit but I could probably do that if the circuit wasn't too large. It would be like £30 or something since the parts alone would come to £20.

Did some drilling and priming last night, Benecol's case is now ready for painting (which I will do this lunchtime). His matched PNP Germanium transistors also arrived with some other stuff from Banzai yesterday (and his pink LED which I hope is actually pink rather than fucking white, so I should be able to build it over the bank holiday weekend depending on how the case has cured by Sunday/Monday. If not then, then definitely next week.

Cheers man. The only way I could do it would be to just write the letters in Marker pen. Althuogh from playing with it I found I learnt them off by heart pretty rapidly.

It goes Volume, Gate, Comp, Drive, Stability.

Volume you generally don't touch, Stab is on the opposite side and causes the crazies. Middle three I find easy to remember.

Yeah it's just the same as a normal one..Just do diagram on a piece of paper or something. Like draw the pedal and name the knobs.

Yeah, I already did a scruffy manual for finboy when I sent his with some info and starting settings and that, I'll do the same for JD, I don't really want to scrawl on it as it looks nice as is.

Once again Mike, don't stress about the LED - if it looks gash, is too potent for batteries, or is the wrong colour, it really doesn't matter, just bung in whatever you have around (even if it's a red, ie. non-boutique, LED). Oh, and I think you'll find they're called geranium transistors. God.

hahah

I'll see how it looks with a sensible resistor. I sprayed your case silver this lunchtime, it needs another coat before I go out this evening, silver is actually the hardest colour to spray I've found.

You're too kind, I'm really glad you're liking it. I was really quite enamoured of it myself when I was building it. A very fun pedal and I really like the way it turned out, with the knobs, casing etc.

it's really got a retro fuzz vibe to it, looks good on my pedalboard. the knobs match the ones on my reel echo.
