OPENHAUS LOOKS LIKE A PAIN IN THE ARSE.

Mike, can I say that the MBM Tonebender3 I just received from Johnnyseven is just amazing. The range of fuzz tones I ever wanted in there is fantastic. It sounds amazing. I've only managed an hour playing with it tonight but wow. I thought I was T-Rex for a large part there playing 20th Century Boy and it has all those zepplin tones in there too. Another great pedal Mike.

I was playing a DAM tonebender the other week (MkII I think). These pedals do sound really nice.

How much would a DLS clone be by itself?

And how much would a dual SHO into a DLS be?

1. A DLS would be £75 + P&P. Depending on where you are it might be better to just get the original.

2. You mean you want a pedal which is two Super Hard Ons with their own footswitch each, then into a DLS? That would be £120 + P&P, but I'm not sure why you would want that.

Er, my bad. I meant a single super hard on into a DLS.

That would be the same as any Dual Drive pedal (£100(or more) + P&P to a non shortscaler, £95 + P&P to a shortscaler).

I'm glad you like it, although this makes me regret trading it - but nevermind, fuzz tones (other than Big Muffs) don't really fit with my band so it wasn't being used. I'm just about to start having a go at building my own pedals and on my list as a 3rd build is a silicon fuzz of some sort, I hope this will make up for the loss of the Tonebender even if I just end up using it at home.

That's weird. I'd have thought at Saltbooster into a Tubescreamer would sound better than the other way round. What do I know, I suppose.

More useful if you want it as a volume boost, though.

Will that OpenHaus you are building have the expression jack as well? Five pots, 3 modes, 3-way eq switch, and a phase switch [lord knows what for] waaaaaaaaaaaaay complicated. How hard is this little devil vs, say, a klon? I imagine fitting it in a case will be just as challenging as the board itself

Nope, the expression jack just reduces the gain so the guy wasn't interested, which helps.

I've shifted the iput and output jacks down to either side of the footswitch to help for this, and everything is offset towards the top of the case as best I can. The Board will be secured to the lid or base of the case and there should be sufficient space in the case (which is deeper than a BB) to make it possible, but it is going to be very very tight and a massive challenge. The phase switch prevents feedback at stage volumes.

This is the most complicated thing I've built on veroboard as it's the highest component count and external control (pot, switch) count. A Klon is a fucking walk in the park in comparison.
