Today I have been running both my amps from this board:

Effect out of the dd3 into my VC15 - direct out of the dd3 into the breath delay into my ZT lunchbox = Epic.

Just need to find a space for my inbound RV6.

Lovely tidy board, nice to see some humble stuff online for once

Have been busy tarting up the Silvertone of late; picked up a used B3 for cheapz, so thought I'd give the Bigsby thing another go, inspired by this lovely modded original.

I tried fitting it last week, but a slightly off-centre installation and those fucking string pins had me yanking it off (ffnarrrr) within 5 minutes. Gonna be doing this mod to make the setup more bearable, plus have put in some rollersaddles to make things as smooooooth as possible. I'm hoping a bit of attention lubricating and fanning the nut will reduce any issues that the sideways string headstock angle would introduce. Just need to be a bit more patient this time around.

Also chucked some plastic button Gotohs on it for good measure- the improved quality and bigger buttons make the thing feel WAY more sturdy, possibly also down to the shorter posts that provide a little more behind-nut break angle.

My current mess. The order changes frequently and without notice... so:
Mel9, Redwitch fuzzgod II, Russian muff, Soul food, Marshall Reflector, Hot cake, Subdecay echobox, Ditto looper, tuner, Supermoon chrome...on an unfinished pedal board (a recycled homemade CD rack)

The pedal board re-vamp is complete: SD-1 and Supernatural reverb are my finishing touches (for the time being)

Totally agree with Doogs sentiments earlier in the thread about your board dez.

I like to see the 'bread and butter' pedals and brands that aren't necessarily hip. Some of the greatest guitar music was recorded with similar set-ups.

Cheers. Makes all the guitar noises I need and love... no need for boutique prices. I think we can all get a bit carried away with the minutiae of sound cause we mostly listen to them in isolation but when it's in a mix it's a different ball game.

Absolutely.

I saw a Siouxsie & the Banshees tribute band last year, the guitarists board was pure Behringer and he had McGeochs sound nailed down. He used a Squire Tele as well.

I think we all get bogged down with vintage and boutique at some point. In most cases it isn't needed or justified. But it's fun, I will admit to that.

Aye fun indeed, I've bought and sold more gear than I can remember (and will probably keep on doing it), but in reality with this board I can get all the tones I need live and between this and amp farm on my PC I can get more than I need for recording... probably won't stop me eying up the next bit of "essential" kit though... I'm on a synth tip just now so the board'll be like this for the foreseeable.

Gibson 60's Tribute SG. Sperzel locking tuners, neck pickup removed (never use it) and a Joe Barden mini humbucker in the bridge.

80' Aria Integra bass. Totally stock. Totally awesome.

Egnater Rebel 20 into a Bugera cab loaded with a pair of Celestion Creambacks. Crate BX-80 bass amp.

Dunlop Crybaby, TC Electronic Polytune 2, Boss Blues Driver, pair of AMT C2 distortion boxes (emulates a Cornford distortion channel. One set to medium gain, the other cranked), Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Big Muff, Line 6 M9, BBE Sonic Maximizer, Behringer DR600 reverb and a DeLorean. All powered by the Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2 (which sadly lacks to 1.21 gigawatts I was looking for). I went a little label crazy.. Don't judge me. Ha

Currently giving this a whirl. Ever since my attenuator died, I've been using the xotic SL drive pretty much exclusively for drive sounds. Very responsive to dynamics in your playing or guitar controls. It's a shame to be using my JTM 45 as a clean amp but it'll do for now.

So, I removed the DD-3 and the Pulsar. I also had a Mooer reverb on there that I removed and replaced them all with the M5. Really enjoying it, but I'm pondering whether it was the right thing to do. I always loved mixing different pedals in the order that I had them, particularly using my drives to change the timbre of my sound, the reverb to change the dynamic envelope, the wah to shape the eq again, and then the Pulsar to give a bit of texture. Then the delays for fun. I liked how it meant that my board was basically a synth.

This is probably capable of a lot more sounds, but it feels a bit less magic.

For now the uni-vibe is doing the job for a bit of swirl. As much as the minivent was brilliant, the volume drop when engaged really annoyed me. Didn't fancy sticking in a loop with a boost to even it out. Plus needed the dollar for boring adult things like car tax and the like. The uni-vibe isn't too bad for saying it's not as true to the original as the deja vibe was. Plus I got it new for Â£60 which was a bargain.

Still trying to find the ideal of just guitar and amp like my heroes, with maybe the perfect wah if I find it and a real Leslie.

Just rebuilt my board, currently playing in a 90's Cover Band I just put together with a few friends....

- BOSS PS-5 Super Shifter
- CryBaby GCB95 Wah Wah
- Behringer PH-9 Phaser
- Electro-Harmonix SmallClone
- DigiTech XFX Turbo Flange Flanger
- BOSS DD-7 Digital Delay
- Bugera 333XL FS104B Footswitch (Modified to use PC Serial cables)

Guitar->TU-2->Whammy->PS-5->CryBaby->PH-9->SmallClone->Turbo Flange->DD-7->Amp

Tried it out last night, Turbo Flange worked GREAT for "Rooster" and some transitions during "Vasoline". Surprisingly the DD-7 does well for "Scentless Apprentice" as well.

I've been doing some serious decluttering and reorganisation of all my stuff and finally got around to setting up a larger pedalboard in a more permanent state. Need to get some longer patch cables, I've got a bunch of spare George L's that I got in a trade, so I guess I'll try to rustle up some of that wire. This is about as tidy as it's ever been, haha.

Niiice. What's the Bee Baa like btw? I've heard they're sort of Muff-ish, but slightly different/more tweakable and less prone to feedback.
