What is the benifit of the double expansion rod? I've always wondered that.....
i got vintage trussrod on white beauty and jaggie , double truss on Gritante , EVH and now over the Surf-stang
imo i think is safer , less pressure over the wood , Easier to do adjustment , less angled over the wood neck / Less Over Pressure , don't need strip bar (back bar) , can be put on top or end neck ...
more stable , today its few more bucks than vintage one , not expensive was on past

The only thing that I have agaist it is theoretical. It's my theory that it's better to have the most amount of wood as possible in your neck. With a double trussrod, you have to route it out more. I don't really know though. I have to check it out.iCEByTes wrote:here : http://www.warmoth.com/guitar/necks/nec ... truss_rodsdodgedartdave wrote:Icey,iCEByTes wrote:

double rod, 8 mms deep and about 4mms wide.
no chizzling or anything like that, straight drop. I love em, they are only 3-4 bucks more and worth every penny of it.
they are also alot easier to remove that a normal compression rod.
the benefit is that no matter what the problem with the neck is you will be able to correct it with that truss rod(except for the obvious)

this one will be very old schoolMo Rocca wrote:icey. your guitars rule. this one looks really promising. dont mess it up please.
unique modern thing i asked are the Tunners , they are Gotoh Magnum lock , yet they are Small Oval Pegheads and the lock mechanic are internal not external was schaller was , so they are small and don´t break the vintage look
Nut will be Bone , Scale are Brasilian Rosewood !
Neck are Very especial Mapple neck
body will be on BLP too ...

As long as you like it that's all that matters.
I like that you did a custom decal and not a Fender.

That's the way Jag-Stangs are. Look at any of them. They all have strange line. If I was to re-do anything on that guitar, it would be around the bridge. I would've made it go straight down rather then be cut around for a mustang bridge and trem.jcyphe wrote:I like the guitar but the PG doesn't go with it, too many gaps and weird horns.
Do rodrigo re-mad'd another one.
Overall, the guitar looks amazing! I love that blue with the brown tort! Real tasteful. Looks like a really well made guitar all the way around. How does it sound?
