the gold on the purple looks a little too "LOOK AT ME" for me. not too mention that it's just too pristine

i like the purple/tort, but the white covers/knobs stick out too much, cream would have worked better with it.

Yeah, I didn't like the white pickup covers either. It stuck out too much and was annoyingly bright, but I thought the white pickguard just transitioned the look more smoothly. I'm curious to see how black looks too, but we put a mint pickguard against it to see how it would fair, and it looks pretty good as well. Crazy how mint can go with practically any color.
