Nicely done. I fucking hate wiring those 6 way selectors.

thanks. yeah it was a little bit of a pain in the ass, but it worked out okay. i would have liked it to be a little neater but i didnt have a lot of space to work with.

that's pretty cool. sounds like you can get a bunch of different sounds.

yeah, it really depends on the combination though. the two stages are different, so if you have the knobs set one way, then mirror it the opposite way, the sound can be vastly different.

I dunno why you use that Gibson amp for your demos. It sounds absolutely terrible to me, it's a really dull horrible clean tone that I wouldn't go anywhere near, which makes it impossible for me to judge what things sound like. Anyway kudos for doing it either way, but that amp sounds terrible.

yeah, to be honest, that amp doesnt shine till its cranked, but its the only amp at the shop.

thanks for listening.

I think I liked the Red LEDs the best as I recall. The Ge was just so quiet, and no diodes seemed a bit out of control and woofy.

This was all relevant to a dark amp sound though, which I don't use to be honest. My cleans are spanky, so those settings I liked might have been overly harsh on my setup.

all the clips were with the one knob at noon. if you turn it to the left, it gets pretty dark.

i thought you didnt like fuzz?

I don't. Hence I liked the Red LEDs seeing as they sounded more like an aggressive Overdrive.

oh fo sho.

the green diodes have a lot more low end, but they sound fuzzier than the red. the reds sound more aggressive to me.

+1000. The Reds did indeed sound sweet. Loved it!

like i said in the vid, im gonna streamline the mod with just the no diodes, silicon, germanium, and red LED's, seeing is that all the LED's drop almost the exact same amount of voltage and sound pretty much the same. im also gonne try for smaller knobs, different placement, and maybe different switching options to make it less busy.
