yeah, all 24" scale vintage fenders have 22 frets.
that's the quickest way to tell the scale on a vintage mustang/musicmaster/duo-sonic if you're looking at a picture. if there's a dot on the last fret, it has 21 frets and is 22.5" scale. if there's not a dot on the last fret it has 22 frets and is 24" scale.

That's awesome, especially that they went with the 24" scale. Not accurate, but it makes a better player. Even though only having one color option is rather shite, you still have to give Squier credit for doing something really cool. I hope they sell well so maybe they'll offer other colors in the future. If they came out with this in Shell Pink or Coral for $300 or less, I'd be all over it.

i also like the duo MORE because they made it a 24" not another 22.5 or 22.7
it makes having 2 duos more rational if one is 22 and one is 24.

Holy crap that duo is neat. it's not even the kind of stuff I dig personally, but very cool for Squier to do. I think Fender is starting to read the message boards out there. You look at the stuff they been doing lately and it seems that way.

so if what i understand about necks is correct, a guitar with a 24" conversion neck won't take a regular 24" neck from a fender mustang or anything else. but, this duo-sonic would take a jagmaster neck. which sucks, because i like the jag-stang neck a whole lot...
