everything on gbase is way overpriced. i'm sure you're meant to talk them down on stuff. but they probably hope you don't.

shortscale is being very very tempermental right now so bear with me.
first fender does currently make repros of 70's f tuners with white buttons. the only way you can get them though is on the MG65.
F tuners have diagonal screw placement on the housing
Kluson and kluson like repros (ping, gotoh...) have side to side screw placement on the housing.
you can buy the gotoh's from allparts brand new anytime of day without going on ebay.

45 dollars for a whole set
i have put them on my 02' stang and my pizzastangmasterII. they work great. slot heads, white plastic oval buttons.
SCREWS:
your next problem is screws. companies don't include free screws because they can make MORE money off of selling you just screws.
allparts.com has a whole pages of just screws. pickguard screws, tuning key screws, pickups screws......not only do you have to buy this stuff seperate but you have to research what you have, and what you need it for.

if you think this is hard....fuckin allparts website is 203948230948 times better than it was only a year ago. before you just clicked on "screws" and had to scroll thru 400 screws to find what you wanted. now they are seperated into sections and shit. i <3 it.
ill have to take you a photo of 4 of my guitar headstocks....2 with the gotoh's, the MG65, and the bronco.

i bought my american jag thru g-base for 900 shipped. it came with everything plus a few extras.
i did however had a bad experience with them once, bout 6 years ago i bought a second jag-stang from a place in texas, they said it was mint and a 96.
i got it, the ajustment screws for the bridge were rusted out, there were numerous paint chips missing, and it was indeed a later model, i think a 98(that was the last year for the first run right?)
anywho, some places on g-base are the shit, others...... not so much.
