Is acrylic paint a weird choice for this application? The shop didn't have tons of different types, it seems to have turned out well. I'm just gonna with the same brand and type for the clearcoat to avoid any nasty reactions or whatever, hopefully they'll have it in stock so I don't have to order online:

I think I nearly did, it's definately getting near the end of the can.

How many ml are those cans? If you want the pedal to be proper rugged (my boosters will chip off charmingly in time for relic'd tonez I think), then I think you wanna whack a whole 300ml can (Halford's Paints come in this size) on there in a series of coats, but ClearCoat and fucking shitloads of layers of it are your protection really.

150ml. I think they're bout the right size for this pedal really, it's not big at all. I'm gonna be a bit more careful this time around, there was a lot of colour on the newspaper that coulda made for another coat. May buy 2 150ml cans of clear though, just in case- can always use it on other stuff.

Cowbell uses two or three acrylics for his swirly pedals, then clear-coat.
