ME WANTZ DEMOZ!
Lately I've been seriously tempted to buy a Dakota red '65 reissue... but I already have two mustangs. Do I really need a third? (...of course I do, but I should sell some of my other guitars, like my Les Paul...)

what'll happen to your stang project guitar?
Oh I'm still building it of course. It's curing. Should be able to assemble in 2 weeks. I'll have a Mustang and a Duo Sonic, I'm interested in comparing them.

Expensive like, £520 shipped next day. Meh - I've been saving so I thought I'd be stupid with my money for once.
I bought the Baja Telecaster this time last year. Only major purchase in between was the JVM which I sold for profit. It was about time.

Sounds like a perfectly reasonable justification to me

BTW. Mustangs don't need contours. They're thin as all hell.

This is true. Always struck me a strange that they did have.

my mg65 starts hurting my right wrist much like my jagstang did.
i used to have a big bloody spot on my wrist after every show with that fucking thing.
my compstang RI with the back and top contours is actually more comfortable. i know its retarded but true

The Jag-Stang (from memory) is a lot thicker than a Mustang though...
I know what you're saying, you'd be ripped to shreds by my Telecaster, which leaves me with raw forearms after rehearsal. I contemplated an armsock, lols.

Congrats Mr Mike on a very sensible purchase indeed. Very very nice guitar indeed.
I don't post very often, but I do read the odd thread (like this one) and it strikes me this looks a bit like karma: if anyone deserves a beautiful instrument like that, it's yerself. Good on you.
Don't feel guilty, man. Unless you do the armsock thing playing your Tele. I have a Baja too and wore a FUCKING TUBULAR BANDAGE on my forearm last gig. Looked like fucking Popeye in the pictures.
Anyway, enjoy.

Hahaha! That's what I meant by armsock (the closest I get to one). Hilarious.
I got too hot and had to ditch it, now I just live with the rash. Thanks very much for the kind words bud.
