But just like guitar, you need to practise to keep your chops up or you'll get sloppy.

Aah, but sloppy can be good in art. Nice work, everyone! That Giger will make you go blind!

I just drew this, after doing some midi sequencing for a while. I was doodling and it sort of appeared.
I suck at drawing. I was also drawing on a6 paper using some sort of arsey gel pen.
If you can't guess, the black bars represent MIDI velocity values and what's holding them up.
2 is supposed to be some sort of rocket, it didn't turn out well.
7 is darth vader.
9 I fucked up so I just wrote fan.
10 is ALTERNATE REALITIES
11 is a diving board.
13 is up there because it's scared of black aug.

I like the heart one.
I've been wanting to get an old school anatomy drawing of a heart tattooed on my chest.
Something like the design on this pendant:

When I was a kid the first images I drew were out of Grays Anatomy. I'm pretty sure I didn't really know what the subject matter was, but to this day I still enjoy using that sort of imagery. My second year exhibition was a series of anatomy based paintings.

Digital Painting I'm working on:
This is the first real go I've had at a digital painting with my tablet and I think it's alright at the moment.
I should have started with a better idea but I'm just using it for learning. I also shoud have make it larger than 640 x 480 but oh well.
I used a good technique called thumbnailing, where you zoom out and just paint using a large brush to get an idea of the layout and general tone of the picture. It also adds lots of brush strokes which makes a nice texture when you go in and add more detail..
