Haha, another classic ss thread going in unnecessary directions. Seriously, they're like apples and oranges: Both are fruit, and we've all our preferences.

Done-lop: push the button and pull the strap off
Schallies: pull the knob and slide the strap off

I've had both on for extended lengths of time and simply fancy the pushbutton deal. The end. :P

I have no experience of either so I just want for the pretty ones I saw at Doogfest on Hurb's guitars. I'm not going to be hotswitching straps, just removing it as it lies on my lap when I'm wiping my alien sweat off it after playing before hanging it on the wall. A Strapped guitar is too much of an enticeing playing for Gizmo not to climb it.

I don't believe Gizmo does anything but hide.

She hates the fucking Scottish.

She's normally playful and headstrong, but your kind freaks her out.

I would about to recommend these.

They are dual design Dunlops that you gave to attach the things to the strap but you can use normal straps with them as well and the end is a bit larger so normally securer as well.
i have those duals on my p bass and stang too

I installed them. Very simple and they work great. They use less parts than the Dunlops also.

I like them.

My Jag came with a set of Schallers installed. I liked them but switched out the Levy strap that came on the guitar for a Couch & removed the Schallers at the same time. I've had Couch straps on my guitars for a while now & they grab normal strap buttons like no other. I've never had one fall off and I jiggle around a lot while playing. If I DIDN'T have a Couch strap I'd totally want locks.

The SJAG1 on my Jag's bridge is pretty microphonic, which I actually dig, but the downside is that you can hear the strap locks clicking if you move around a lot. . .
