This thing plays and sounds so nice. The locking tuners(brushed metal,do not like) and roller nut keep it so in tune, even divebombing and yanking up on the trem arm like a madman doesn't affect the tuning.I would like to keep it but with 3 strats in the stable already it has to go.

Awww Fran, man - I'm not disrespecting anyone here - all of these guys have made music that many people have loved, have undoubtedly inspired other folks to pick up a guitar etc etc - that's worthy of respect in anyone's book. I don't like 'em particularly, tho. There's a difference.
It's such a sibjective thing. I regularly quote James Williamson as a fave guitarist of mine. Based on TWO RECORDS: Raw Power and Kill City. But the guy's impact on me was immense - the most visceral, thrilling clang I'd ever heard. Similarly, Mick Ronson and Thunders too - never the most tech-proof players but they shaped my whole attitude to the instrument and where it can go.
And JAMC truly fucking ruled, btw. William was never much of a player but boy, Glasgow was stacked with wee tously-headed wannabes through the eighties.
The guitar tho: I actually like that colour. I do. The hardware's honkin', but.

Haha, because purple is wayyyyy more poofy than, say, Shell Pink. %ghey%
I like the colour a lot. I has metallic purple drums, they were a scratch'n'dent deal, complete kit with hardware for less than $300 and they rock all o'you faces. Although they're slowly getting changed out to not-purple stuff by pure coincidence, the purple is attractive.

If it plays better than your other two strats, surely they should be up for sale instead? I'd hate to think I sold an otherwise great guitar because I didn't like the finish on the tuners.

Its obviously a serously good piece of equipment but.. the modern improvements(?) to an old classic is'nt gonna win it any fans on a website like this. Its a shame.

The button splits the bridge humbucker to a single coil for the strat sound, with the humbucker on it has a more LP fat sound to it..One of my strats has only the vintage wideranger in it,I can't part with that one.And I just can't get rid of the black and chrome strat, that one plays awesome.
