On the subject of building.

List of costs;
Neck £25
Body blank £30
Pickup £13
Pickguard £11
Other stuff £35ish
Paint £50

I spent £20 on a router.
£8 on a sander.
£6 on some drill bits and
about £30 on router bits.

But I can re-use these tools on other projects, so it's money well spent.

Achieving a decent action is a pain in the balls for me when it comes to project guitars, my SamuelLCaster's tele bridge saddles were jacked up to feck and there were still bad spots on the neck.

If you place a small shim in the neck pocket on the end closer to the headstock you can lower the action at the bridge. Don't those screws eat up your hand? Creative project, by the way.

Yeah, them screws are a bit too long.
The original screws were 11mm long. They seemed way too short. So I got some 18mm long.
Then I had the idea of forcing the neck to sit better my pulling on the headstock. It worked brilliantly.
The neck pocket was tight anyway, but with paint and laquer made it tighter still.
So I need to get some screws that are 13mm long.

sweet build
