Actually, I just looked at the guitar again, and it seems like the "correct" fix is for Fender to modify their Adjust-O-Matic bridge. If it simply had a slightly lower profile with some metal taken off the bottom of the bridge, they'd probably free up enough room to lower the action without having to change anything else on the guitar.
The bridge itself has too much beef on its ass and needs to go on a diet.

The correct fix is for you to realise Fender don't setup guitars to be comfortable, that's your job. They just build them and put banjo strings on them.

Or, perhaps the problem should be fixed at the neck pocket, instead of taking mass away from the bridge.

I can honestly say, no bullshit, the neck plays better than my old '62 AVRI Jazzmaster. The action is very nice and just above string buzz (where I like it).
I was in Guitar Center the other day and they had a Japanese Jaguar (serial started with a Q) and it didn't feel nearly as polished and fit as the Classic Player (I played a handful and there were definitely two good for every five I picked up).
Im bringing this thread back to life .... I just got the Super Distortion F-spaced in cream color for my HH MIM jag. I had to order it coz no shops here sell pickups, when it arrived i noticed that its not the same cream as the fender enforcer pickups or like the seymour duncan cream, the are actually like a band-aid type of cream. I also checked and in the stock pickups the neck seems regular spaced. The alignement of the poles is different (measured) in the neck and the bridge. So my question would be, did you get the PAF for the neck in regular space? coz to me it seems like "regular" its probably the correct alignement for the neck. Also, did you get the pickups setup as the stock ?? i would like to know if the option to change with the scroll wheel from single coil to humbucker makes it lack tone, punch, or produces any undesired effect when on complete humbucker mode...

Willis - Yeah, the Neck PAF is actually regular spaced where as the Bridge SD is "f" spaced. The plastic cream color on mine is definatley different than the Enforce pickups, but they look pretty rad in my opinion with the creamy'er look...but to each his own.
