holy shit are you a politician or what?
but congrats on the guitar although i think you should pick up a "normal" one, the jaguar bridge is the most genious think i find on fenders. it is superadjustable.

Were you trying to beat DuoSonicBoy to

If so, Congrats. Otherwise, Get Tae Fuck.

I played it with the band last night at rehearsal and it was fucking awesome. Sounded great and was loads of fun to play.
I've done the right thing.

Yeaaaa - I won something.
Are you using the trem at all? How well does it hold tune?

I don't use the Trem at all. I really tried to start when I got the Mustang but it's not for me.
It holds tune like a beast without it.

OK I just threw on the trem arm and messed around for a while, the Trem behaves really well and after heavy abuse the guitar is still in tune.
I think it's a winner.

Good for you, matey. Really nice Jaguar. Love the sunburnt.
I was starting to get a little uh...concerned you'd end up with a very very expensive (and doubtless very very nice) vintage Jag and have to seriously boot up yr pedalmaking output to make ends meet.
Which would have been a win for the pedal- buying shortscale public, mind (strokes chin)......

I was quite surprised to see you got one so quickly after trying one. I can understand it though with vintage prices as they are. Looks great.

DEW IT. between the cij's and the mim's, there are plenty to be had with some great options, too.

I think I'm going to dew it... I'm jonesing for a new guitar, it'll either be a Jag or a Mustang bass. First I have to sell off one of the guitars that I don't play, most likely my Les Paul (great guitar but just way too heavy. I feel like I need a back brace after playing it for 10 minutes!)
The Japanese Jags seem to be hard to come by here in Canada. But I've seen a few of the MIM's for sale locally. If only the single coil MIM jag came in white like the HH model... I could just buy the HH and be a total dork and rewire it with singles...

Yeah the colour thing is a real pain. I've seen people convert the MIM humbucker ones to singles on offset though, so it's doable.

Right so a couple of practises in and I'm really getting to know the guitar. I'm thinking about making the following mods:
1. I'm getting one of these plates:

So I can replace the two pickup slider switches with a Toggle switch. I turned off my bridge pickup twice in Rehearsal last night when it was the only pickup on. Queue Silence and Panic about my amp.
2. I'm going to wire a 470K resistor in series with the 50K tone pot in the rhythm circuit to brighten it up for now, and will eventually replace it with a 1M roller pot so I have some use out of it.

You must do some hxc strumming. I can't see myself ever moving slider switches accidentally. I do smash into toggles quite often though, 'specially on the strat.
