I use the bridge almost always, not because I like the sound the best, but because it's what cuts through best with the stupid loud band I play with. recording I bounce around pups quite a bit. I like the sound of a neck and bridge together. Especially on my jag. Fuss is especially good with a neck pup too

my favorite sound is that of a single coil neck and single coil bridge for balance and clarity. Of course, in a band setting that bridge helps with cutting though as LTR said.

Mostly bridge pup, I have a humbucker in my Jag and single coils in the rest of my guitars. Sometimes I flip on the neck singles on the Jag but I run that with series wiring.

I used to use the bridge pickup almost exclusively. Since getting the Bassman I've changed to the neck. Part of that was I only had the ES175 copy for a while and the neck pickup sounds so much better on that, but the low end of the bassman is just too nice not to use. I think in a band situation it's going to be too low, but for just playing in my bedroom it's neck pickup almost everytime.

That's a good point. At home I use neck pups so much more than I do in the band. When mixed with bass and other guitar I need that extra bite and brightness from the bridge to cut through.
