It's not what you're asking about but it reminded me that I made this picture when talking about these before.

The two guitars are lined up over the pickups, all of the stuff nearer the top of the picture and more 'in the background' is from the original. You can see the angle of the neck pickup is slightly different but the distance between them is the same. Then look how much closer the bridge is on the original. The picture isn't completely accurate to scale, but it's not that far off.

It does look like it is as Mike said - they enlarged the scale and forgot to move the pickups to accommodate that.

yep, but unfortunately it's costs a 'wee' bit more than the squier :P

I go back & forth about this guitar. I love the shape & the price as well, but don't really like the color. I wish they would offer it in more colors. Since it isn't made to the correct vintage specs, why do they have to keep it to the correct color? That said, depending on how much Christmas cash I get I might get one.
