Well thanks for bumping a month old thread to tell us that.

Desparate to get into Classified or just a bit of a twonk?

You're a bell end?

Don't get me wrong I have never been a huge fan of them simply because you see them everywhere. but you can't deny they are great guitars and the good ones sound fantastic.
In person they always look great too.

he keeps posting single words or quoting posts and saying nothing more.

twat though, if you don't know why you're clearly hating them for the sake of hating them.

If his 51'st post is in the classifieds I am banning him hard in mouth.

or maybe i'm just bored out of my skull at work. is there a shelf life to these threads or something? please be more of an asshole.

i've never even played a high end strat, and i know a lot of people with great taste in guitars that love them. perhaps it's the bowels of virginia, it just seems like fucking everyone plays them, and it's always black with a white pickguard (exactly what my first guitar was in fact, except a squier, of course). they do sound great, but whenever i see one, no matter whose hands its in or what color, i just can't help but picture eric clapton making that face on a bend.

judging a guitar by it's players, nice.

threads do have a shelf life and it isn't extended by making a shite post like the above. if you were bringing something valuable to the thread then it would have been welcomed im sure.

anyway, fuck black/white strats. there are many combinations that look so much better than black/white on strats.

You think I was being an Asshole? Hold tight buddy, things are about to get much worse...

It sounds to me like you're speaking from a position of ignorance. Congratulations.

I'm waiting for Hurb to start loving humbuckers, then I'll know that the US shortscaler's have sent back a replicant and Hurb's locked in a cupboard somewhere.

IF YOU CAN HEAR US HURB, DON'T GIVE UP HOPE. WE WILL FIND YOU.

that isn't likely to be the case, but kudos for the notion of banning someone for posting in a forum they have access to, because someone else implied that this might be my intention, and in the course of demeaning my admittedly useless post no less, though to be fair, was there anything less drivel about a post such as that, other than to try to call someone out?

is a low post count a bullseye or something?

hahaha next he'll be buying superstrats.

and then i look at a post like this and wonder what the difference is. maybe if i'd oogled about the strat or something?

Joshua, back away from the keyboard. Everybody is nice here, and I'm sure you're nice too. You just, inadvertantly, did a bit of threadromancy. Coupled with your sometimes terse posting style, it looks like you're on a fast track to spam, which I'm sure you're not. You're arguing with nice people. And Mike. Let's all calm down now. Thank you.

That's different; Lamp's Devonian, like me. That's virtually a thesis in Devon.

only if you make it. if you had twelve thousand posts and did that you'd have got the same reaction.

well a bit more taylored to you 'cause we'd know you a bit more by then.

newb, don't piss of mike, just don't do it.
mike, watch him, if his 51st post is something in the classifieds i would monitor that person, im just say, its happened before and it will happen again.
btw, strats are a mainstay in the public eye, nearly every major guitarist has used a strat and been seen using one.
they are great guitars, but they are not for most of us.
the simple trem and 25.5 scale are a turn off for me, the 3 singles are a plus tho(altho i never find a use for the middle pup)

the contradictions here are astounding, but fair enough. and i'm not arguing that stratocasters are bad guitars, are ugly guitars, or are not mainstays of the public eye. i simply expressed (and, oh my fucking god, brought back a thread from THE DEAD) that i dislike them and that i'm not quite sure why. apparently that is confused, and/or ignorant, and not simply my opinion, as i'd initially thought.
