i was planning on doing a wee video of it today, but i have the lazybones. might do it later on, but cowbell's video of his seems to cover all the bases, let's face it.

Wow that looks amazing in the sun, you planning on putting a pickguard on it?

nah, i think it looks better without one to be honest. you can get replacements easily enough, but the body is so much lower than the strings i don't think there's much chance of me scratching it.

I prefer them without the guard too. Such a beautiful guitar.

I love that faded CAR color. I should have done that instead of Gretsch orange. But the front and back are SINGLE pieces.

thank you sir (and all who like it). infuriatingly, i've yet to have a proper, loud play of it through my amps. i'll finally get to open it up this thursday at rehearsal, can't wait.

That's my secret weapon switch. Actually, um--someone had moved the knobs before I got it. It was all I could do (at the time) to re-wire it without a diagram or much experience, so I figured I would come back and add something later. Right now it's an extra knob to keep people guessing. Mine was an imperfect, pretty good deal.
The necks alone on these things are pretty cool. Jazz players were not convinced that bolt-ons were a good idea. Yet with Starcasters and Thinlines, Fender cracked the code.
